The University of Maine at Augusta is accepting applications for a tenure-track faculty position in the biological sciences. Full-time, twelve-credit hour teaching load will include biology courses in support of Allied Health programs on the Bangor campus and laboratory science classes to meet the Natural Science General Education requirement. Teaching assignments may include microbiology (lecture and laboratory sections), introduction to human disease, online laboratory sciences for non-majors, and an online course in the candidate’s area of expertise. Qualifications : The successful applicant will be broadly trained in biology, possess a PhD, and be committed to undergraduate education. College-level teaching experience, willingness to teach online are required. Publication and conference presentation history, course development experience, experience in teaching online and teaching nontraditional students considered a plus.
