University College (UC) is an Administrative Unit of the University of Maine at Augusta (UMA) with a system-wide mission to provide centralized services to students and faculty engaged in online and distance programs offered by the campuses of the University of Maine System. The University of Maine Augusta is seeking applicants for the position of Manager of University College Learning Services (UCLS). The Manager of UCLS will be the office manager on the Augusta campus of UMA, supervise three front line staff at UCLS, and provide oversight and monitoring of faculty interaction and exam proctoring. This person is the leader of the call center, client relations and support, and logistics related to distance-teaching, such as scheduling teleconferences, handling agendas, managing document-sharing resources, and coordinating and vetting out-of-state proctors. The manager serves as the point person for phone traffic and reception at UCLS, provides administrative support to the management team of University College, and provides logistics support to the Coordinator of the UC Faculty Institute, including facilities- and presentation-materials preparation. The normal salary range for this position is low forties, depending on skills and experience. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, evenings and weekends as necessary. Qualifications: Required : Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Supervisory/management experience Experience with distance education Experience working with teams and working groups using distance technologies, including Google Apps for Education (Drive, Gmail, Chat, Hangouts, Calendar, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite Preferred : Five to 7 year's experience in higher education setting Excellent customer service and organizational skills Excellent attention to detail and ability to apply policies Demonstrated knowledge of test proctoring ethics and methodology Experience with Blackboard; ITV, compressed video, Concur Travel System, Library H3lp, and web-conferencing technologies Applicants must complete an online application and submit a cover letter and resume at https://uma.hiretouch.com/ .
