Turning Point Farm is a six bed group home, located in New Gloucester, Maine. Our boys are currently ages 8-13 years old and are all in state custody, in need of a long-term placement. In addition to the traditional therapies, we have an active working farm and garden, and the boys are involved in farm work, 4-H groups and animal-assisted therapy. We use a behavior management/social skills curriculum called the Motivational Teaching System. We use a variety of different school placements to meet the needs of our individual boys. We encourage community involvement, in the way of camps, sports teams, volunteer opportunities and the like. We encourage a sense of family and community at the Farm, placing a high value on outside mentors and volunteers.
