Job Description

Maine Children’s Trust is seeking a highly competent Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Clinical Personal Counselor (LCPC) with experience in clinical consultation to provide both group and individual consultation to supervisory and field staff in twelve contracted sites of the Maine Families Home Visiting Program (MFHVP).  This is a contracted grant-funded position with a minimum time commitment of at least twelve days per month, plus additional availability on an as needed basis.  Monthly travel to each program site is required.  Site locations include: Machias, Ellsworth, Presque Isle, Bangor, Waldo, Waldoboro, Waterville, Norway, Farmington, Lewiston, Portland and Sanford.  Consideration may be given to contracting with two clinicians with a split workload with six sites each. 



  • Experience and knowledge in the following areas: family visiting or other home-based services, infant and early childhood development, trauma focused delivery of services, domestic violence, collaboration with community providers, mandated reporting, complex family challenges and dynamics
  • Ability to work effectively independently
  • Availability to work during normal business hours
  • Ability to offer flexible schedule (Monday through Friday)
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively in state and provide reliable transportation
  • Outstanding communication skills

The ideal candidate(s) will have strong relational skills, high ethical standards, proven experience in workplace clinical consultation with groups and individuals, outstanding communication skills and current licensure in Maine.  Licensure as a LCSW is preferred in order to provide clinical supervision to relevant staff pursuing licensure.
