The Executive Director is the senior executive and leader of this community-based, nonprofit organization and reports directly to the Board of Directors. The ED is responsible for mission fulfillment, all financial and legal matters, and staffing and staff development, and provides program oversight while representing WABAN to the general public, state agencies, members of the legislature, community leaders, elected officials, media and local groups.
The successful candidate must demonstrate the passion for this type of work and must have the essential educational background plus 10 years of senior executive experience in a significant non-profit entity, preferably in a similar agency. The candidate must have strong leadership skills, be able to manage people and finances, be effective in communications and public relations. Expertise in providing services to a similar clientele is desirable.
