Job Description


The Shipping Assistant position in Topsham is responsible for understanding daily shipping volumes, and assuring that actual product, staff, supplies and technology are available to ship all packages daily, providing required confirmations and tracking data, and proactively resolving UPS exceptions to ensure packages are delivered. Requires close coordination with Production and Administrative staff. This is a full time, 32-40 hours per week, and first shift position. The schedule will be based on need. You will be developing procedures for inventory management, determine product labeling needs, advise administration and production when inventory is low and coordinate appropriate reorder quantities and time frames. You will, also, be picking product for orders, perform Hold & Release Procedure as needed, monitor and communicate freezer performance, ensure that accurate Picking from inventory is consistently performed, ensure that accurate Packing of orders is consistently performed, ensure that Packing Slips are accurate, and procedures are followed per order, prepare pallets according to company specifications.
