Job Summary:

The Accounts Payable position in Boothbay is responsible for supporting the A/P process with accurate and timely processing, reconciliation and reporting of transactions, as well as for prompt, friendly and courteous service to anyone who might come in contact with the organization.

This is full time, first shift position and the schedule is 8:30-4:30pm Monday-Friday. You will be reconciling processed work by verifying entries & comparing system reports to balances, charging expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports and recording entries, paying vendors by monitoring discount opportunities; verifying federal id numbers; scheduling and preparing checks; resolving purchase order, contract, invoice or payment discrepancies and documentation; insuring credit is received for outstanding memos; issuing stop-payments or purchase order amendments.

You will be paying employees by receiving and verifying expense reports and requests advances; preparing checks as well as maintaining accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions, verifying vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.

You will also be responsible for maintaining historical records according State and Federal law, dispersing petty cash by recording entry; verifying documentation, along with supporting Administrative Assistants by answering call overflow and maintaining confidential information.
