Job Description

GENERAL SUMMARY:

A $160M credit union in central Maine is looking for an energetic professional to become our next Accounting & Information Systems Manager.  This individual will perform a variety of financial management duties, including preparing monthly financial reports, investing excess funds, preparing quarterly regulatory reports, and assuming various Asset/Liability Management functions.

The position also provides oversight over various internal data processing systems.

This position supervises an Information Technology Specialist and reports to the President/CEO.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

As Accounting Manager, this position is responsible for:

  1. General Ledger and Preparation of Financial Reports.
  2. Asset/Liability Management.
  3. Investment of Excess Funds.
  4. Financial Reporting to Various Regulatory Agencies.

As Information Systems Manager, this position is responsible for:

  1. Supervising the Information Technology Specialist.
  2. Oversight of Account Processing System provider (Service Bureau: Synergent/Episys).
  3. Internal Security of Member Data, including Data Network and Firewall Vendor oversight.
  4. Disaster Recovery testing and development.

Other duties performed included:

  1. Participation in periodic Management Team Meetings.
  2. Processing Credit Union's Employee Payroll.
  3. Managing Projects.

This position does require the successful candidate to work every other Saturday morning.
