College of the Atlantic seeks a full-time Director of Residence Life and the Student Experience. Some key responsibilities of this position include directing and managing all aspects of the residence life program (including selecting, training, and supporting the college’s team of approximately 20 resident advisors), providing crisis response (some nights, weekends, and breaks) as part of the on-call team, and serving as a member of the Student Support Team. This position is also responsible for overseeing prevention, education, response, and resolution efforts related to incidents of student conflict and behavior issues.
Minimum of five years of relevant experience in higher education and a relevant bachelor’s degree; familiarity with supporting students with mental health issues and with negotiating student privacy and confidentiality; knowledge of and experience with Title IX and other anti-discrimination regulations; understanding of and enthusiasm for College of the Atlantic’s mission and programs is preferred.
