Job Description

College of the Atlantic seeks a part-time (40%) Institutional Research Specialist. COA is looking for a highly organized individual with strong experience and skills in data analysis to support the curricular, analytical, informational, reporting, and regional accreditation needs of the institution. Duties include compiling and submitting institutional data and reports including the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS), Common Data Set (CDS), national and state surveys, as well as other data needs for accreditation and licensure, and institutional needs related to enrollment, academics, and finance.

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree and the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information in accordance with federal regulations. Experience with/proficiency in database management and visualization software, such as SQL, with the ability to write basic data queries using SQL-based visual tool or coding strongly preferred. Familiarity with IPEDS, National Student Clearinghouse, and other reporting and survey tools and requirements preferred. Minimum of three years of related higher education experience preferred. This is a part-time (40%) position, serving either in-person or remote and hours can be flexible.
