Employment and FLSA status: This is a part-time (32 hours), hourly, non-exempt position. This position is eligible for benefits, including paid time off (PTO). Starting pay is $30 per hour. Hybrid, flexible hours.
· Associates degree or higher in accounting, business administration, and/or other relevant degree program;
· Minimum 3 years accounting work experience in the construction industry (strongly preferred)
· Minimum 3 years human resources work experience;
· Must have a sufficiently clean background check determination in addition to positive supervisory reference checks.
Essential Position Responsibilities:
Accounting:
· Perform all data entry in the accounting system;
· Manage accounts payable; reconcile vendor statements and monitor special payment terms; process vendor payments;
· Manage accounts receivable; generate client invoices and monitor collections; process receipts;
· Prepare bank disbursement requests for jobs and manage collection of lien waivers;
· Reconcile all cash and credit card accounts monthly;
· Reconcile all due to/due from accounts monthly;
· Work with outside accounting firm relative to job costing, WIP, budget to actual, and other reporting needs of the company;
● Other accounting-related tasks and projects as assigned;
Human Resources:
· Coordinate and oversee all personnel-related activities of the business;
· Prepare and submit bi-weekly payroll to payroll processing company;
· Track employee PTO;
· Assist with recruiting and conduct all new hire on-boarding; manage all related paperwork;
· Maintain complete personnel files;
· Administer the company’s employee benefits program and manage annual renewal process;
· Coordinate training and education as needed or required by law;
· Respond to requests for information from the Department of Labor, Board of Workers’ Compensation, insurance carriers, etc.
· Ensure proper completion and documentation of all compliance related activities; and
· Other personnel-related tasks and projects as assigned.
Other:
· Responsibility for the insurance policy renewals (Workers Comp, General liability, and Professional liability)
· Solid knowledge of accounting principles and practices
· Experience compiling, reviewing, and interpreting contracts and other legal documents
· Experience coordinating and directing teams
· Experience in human resources administration and compliance
· Organization, thoroughness, and consistent follow-through on a variety of tasks
· Attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment

Physical Requirements: Requires mobility sufficient to work in an office environment including accessing and utilizing office machines such as phones, computers, and copiers. May be required to bend and lift up to 20 pounds. Must be able to process papers required for position.
