Job Description

College of the Atlantic is seeking a relief captain to work up to thirty days, non-consecutive, but predetermined, over June, July, and August. The position requires a minimum 50-ton USCG Master’s License, preferably near-coastal, and an FCC radio operators license. The applicant must be competent driving a 46’, single-screw cruiser (Wesmac), be comfortable operating a pot-hauler and small crane, and be familiar with trouble-shooting mechanical and electrical issues. Familiarity and interest in training and teaching college students a plus. The individual must be personable, patient, and professional.
