Marketing Officer

Lisbon Credit Union is looking to fill the position of Marketing Officer.

A $175M community-based credit union located in Lisbon, Maine is looking for an energetic professional to become it's next Marketing Officer.  The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of various marketing software packages, including Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Publisher.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Under general supervision, but in line with established policies and procedures, is responsible for planning, organizing and directing the Credit Union’s marketing activities. 

Reports to the Credit Union President/CEO.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

1)   Develops short and long term marketing strategies to achieve organizational goals.

2)   Utilizes knowledge based upon experience and formal training to conceptualize, create, and implement marketing campaigns that promote Credit Union products and services.  Is responsible for all advertising including statement inserts, newsprint, television, radio, web-based, lobby displays and electronic messaging centers.

3)   Working with a third-party business partner, is responsible for the ongoing development and maintenance of the Credit Union’s website.  Updates rates and information as needed. 

4)    Maintains the Credit Union’s presence on various social media sites. 

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

A)   Serves as Chairperson of the Marketing Committee.  Plans, organizes and directs the ongoing activities of the Committee.  When appropriate, seeks input from the Committee in developing marketing campaigns that achieve  marketing strategies identified above.

B)   Serves as Chairperson of the Newsletter Committee.  Plans, organizes and directs periodic meetings of the Committee.  Plans the overall content of the quarterly Newsletter, prepares final draft and coordinates the distribution of the Newsletter (print and electronic).

C)   Serves as Chairperson of the Social Responsibility Committee.  Assists with the planning and implementation of various fundraising activities to benefit pre-selected organizations.

D)   Is responsible for Member Education.  Maintains accurate and informative brochures for use by the Membership.  Organizes Member Education programs for the general Membership.

E)   Maintains a wide variety of contacts within and outside the Credit Union and represents the Credit Union at civic and trade functions.

F)   Performs other duties as assigned.

This position is based at the Credit Union's Lisbon, Maine office and requires the successful candidate to work every other Saturday morning.
