Position Overview
We are seeking a Pest Management Technician responsible for delivering effective and safe pest management services to residential and commercial clients. This position involves inspecting properties to identify pest problems, implementing appropriate treatment plans using approved products, methods, and integrated pest management (IPM) techniques, and educating clients on preventative measures. Technicians will maintain accurate records of services performed, adhere to safety protocols, and provide exceptional customer service, ensuring client satisfaction and Pest Wardens' reputation for reliable pest control solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and complete accurate and thorough indoor and outdoor pest control duties at residential and commercial properties.
- Drive a company vehicle to residential and commercial job sites and perform inspections and services to customers, following a route schedule within assigned territory.
- Communicate with new and existing clients, identifying potential pest problems, discussing various solutions and services, and building solid rapport and customer relationships throughout the entire process.
- Complete all required service and customer documentation within our pest management system with a company issued device.
- Utilizes best practices in accordance with Integrated Pest Management (IPM) principles.
- Perform careful and accurate measuring and preparing of applications per the product labels, and perform applications with a variety of pest application equipment.
- Perform proper maintenance to equipment to ensure clean and fully functional operations. Report any problems in detail so proper solutions can be made. Properly disposes of old products and containers.
- Keep the assigned company vehicle, equipment, tools, and supplies in a clean and organized manner.
- Other duties as assigned (when weather, time gaps between scheduled jobs, or other unforeseen circumstances prevent techs from performing above duties, other tasks at the company headquarters or elsewhere might be required within normal working hours).
- Participate in occasional company meetings and events.
- Complete continuing education to maintain appropriate professional certifications.
Qualifications & Requirements
- No pest control experience required, we’ll provide comprehensive training.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Study and pass mandatory exams to obtain appropriate licenses with the State of Maine’s Board of Pesticides Control (company paid training).
- Solid social communication and customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail and technical skills
- Positive “Can Do” Attitude, and a good listener.
- Professional and clean appearance.
