Responsible for setting up and operating saws, milling machines, NC machining centers and coordinating measuring machines (CMMs) as required.
Required Education/Experience
- Graduate of any recognized machinist or tool maker course (e.g., tech school, industrial or Armed Forces program), OR
- Minimum of one year experience in set up and operation of Computerized Numerical Control (CNC) multi-access machining
All candidates must successfully pass a written machinist assessment.
Preferred Education/Experience
- Two-year post-secondary degree in Machine Tool Technology
- Two years manual machining (mill, turn or drill) experience
Pay (not including Night Shift Bonus)
$28.8990 - $30.2136 /hour starting (entry level machinist)
$30.2136 - $31.0338/hour after successful completion of training and introductory probation
