GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Outside Sales Representative (OPS) is responsible for increasing sales by developing and maintaining relationships with customers through in person visits to both assigned and new prospective customers. Works with Parts Sales Manager to achieve quarterly sales targets. Update customers on new products and offerings from Ballard Truck Center.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers through in person visits
- Identify part sales opportunities with customers
- Provide customers quotations on customer identified parts needed
- Work with parts counter staff to process customer orders. Advise them of customer delivery expectations and needs
- Work with Parts Sales Manager to achieve quarterly sales targets
- Prospect for new customers in assigned territory
- Understand and promote the use of the eCommerce site for parts ordering
- Identify service opportunities and work with Service Manger help close them
- Act as liaison for the dealership
- Complete daily call reports
- Perform any other duties as required
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- OPS will work both inside the dealership and at customer locations
- Customer locations to include offices as well as repair garage
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Be able to withstand multiple hours driving in a company vehicle
- Standing with customers in their repair facilities while making your sales calls
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education level – High School diploma
- 1-2 years Outside Sales experience (Preferred)
- Knowledge of CDK Dealer Management System (Preferred)
- Proficient in using Microsoft Outlook, TEAMS, Word and Excel
- Understanding of eCommerce platforms
- Proficient in use of a Smart Phone and laptop computer
- Professional personal appearance
- Valid driver’s license
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
