We are looking for reliable and safety focused Machinists to join our team. Machinists will be responsible for setting up and operating primarily NC machines ensuring compliance with safety standards and following standard work procedures to maintain a safe and efficient production environment.
Various machining roles may be available from entry level (small stainless steel turbine components <25lb) to advanced level (large turbine components including nickel alloys and shafts up to 50ton).
Required Education/Experience (entry level)
- Graduate of any recognized machinist or tool maker course (e.g., tech school, industrial or Armed Forces program), OR
- Minimum of one year experience in set up and operation of Computerized Numerical Control (CNC) multi-access machining
All candidates must successfully pass a written machinist assessment.
Preferred Education/Experience (intermediate/advanced)
- Two-year post-secondary degree in Machine Tool Technology and 1 year of experience machining on 3-or more axis CNC machines (mill, drill, or turn); or

Required Education/Experience

This Inspection position will assist with duties to support production of manufacturing large steam and gas turbine components for the power industry at GE Vernova Bangor.
Required Duties:
- Perform product inspection and tests according to established procedures, using gauging, visual and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) techniques, as required
- Clearly write non-conformance reports
- Audit procedures and documentation
- Assist in providing recommendations for corrective actions
- Use color code system for material identification, as required
- Achieve and maintain NDT level II certification
- Interface with team members including engineering, quality, operators, and customer representatives
- Perform material handling duties as required [fork truck operation may be required]
- Safely perform required rigging tasks and lifts using cranes and related equipment
- Perform and support Environmental, Health and Safety audits and related activities
- Participate in process improvement, cycle reduction, and other activities as required to support the Bangor team and site goals

This Hourly Leadership position will assist with CAD/CAM duties to support NC Machines throughout the GE Vernova Bangor facility.
Required Duties:
- Perform NC inputs (e.g. APT, Macro B, PC Mill, & others as required)

- Create programs with CAM software (e.g. Mastercam, Espree, Turbosoft, etc.)
