Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for fundraising? The University of Maine Foundation seeks an Annual Fund Manager to oversee annual giving initiatives that generate private philanthropic support for the University of Maine.
The successful candidate will:
- Develop and execute annual fundraising strategies in collaboration with leadership.
- Conceptualize, write, and implement annual fund appeals.
- Manage print, email, and digital campaigns for fundraising efforts.
- Coordinate special fundraising initiatives, including memorial giving, crowdfunding, tribute giving, text-to-donate, and giving days.
- Oversee the class-giving program and recruit a new class-giving manager annually.
- Maintain the annual fund calendar and track expenses.
- Analyze data to develop segmentation strategies and achieve fundraising goals.
- Serve as the annual giving liaison to the Director of Athletic Development.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree or two years of annual fundraising experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Strong understanding of marketing and annual fund principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
- Excellent persuasive writing skills
Preferred:
- At least three years of experience in annual fund management and advancement work
- Experience creating print, email, and social media appeals, website design, and Adobe Creative Suite skills
Office Presence:
The successful candidate must work fully on-site during the onboarding period. Afterward, the role will maintain a regular in-office presence with the potential for limited remote work during the week.
