We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Billing Clerk based in Portland, Maine. As a Billing Clerk, you will play a crucial role in our non-profit organization, ensuring the smooth running of our accounting and billing processes. This role will involve handling accounting software systems, responding to inbound calls, and managing authorization processes.
Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain the accounting software systems for efficient operations.
Handle computerized billing activities, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
Perform accounting functions, keeping track of all financial transactions and reports.
Attend to inbound calls, providing prompt and detail oriented responses to all inquiries.
Oversee authorization processes, ensuring all requests are properly handled and documented.
Maintain accurate records of all authorization requests, ensuring all documentations are up-to-date and easily accessible.
Requirements
Demonstrable experience with Computerized Billing is necessary
Familiarity with standard Accounting Functions
Ability to handle Answering Inbound Calls efficiently is expected
Knowledge of Authorization Processes is essential
Experience with managing Authorization Requests
