Residential Crisis Worker
Pay rate: $22/hour + $4/hour shift differential
Schedule: full time (multiple schedules available)
Location: on-site in South Portland, ME

The Opportunity Alliance is seeking a Residential Crisis Worker to join the team at Broadway Crossings crisis residential program. Our program offers short-term mental health crisis stabilization services to adults in our home-like setting. The Residential Crisis Worker position provides direct care to our clients, working as part of a team, including listening support, assisting treatment plan goal work, consulting with clinicians, administering medication, medical record documentation, facilitating group activities and housekeeping duties. We are currently hiring multiple schedules.
Qualifications:
- Associates Degree higher education course completion equivalency or High School Diploma with related experience required (see below)
- Encouraged to apply: MHRT-1/C/CSP, CRMA, DSP, CNA, PSS certification; those with related work or training in mental health, harm reduction/recovery field, healthcare, education, care-giving or residential services
- Solid oral and written communication, teamwork, reliability, passion to help others, computer literacy and strong organizational skills
- A good driving record and valid driver’s license are required, this position involves some driving
- Must be able to obtain MHRT-1 and CRMA certification within 6 months of hire date (training provided)
- Must be able to pass criminal background, child protective service check, sex offender check, CNA registry check and must not be on the state or federal suspension or disbarment list
- Must be able to pass pre-employment physical including ability to exert moderate physical effort with occasional standing, walking, reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, typing and frequently lift and carry material weighing up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to pass pre-employment TB screen and provide proof of immunization or immunity against rubeola (measles), mumps, rubella (German measles), varicella (chicken pox), influenza, and hepatitis B (optional). Medical exemption may be accommodated with a written statement from a licensed medical professional. TOA may assist with obtaining vaccines or proof of immunity if needed.
