This assignment is for 5 months based out of Portland or Camden Maine
Position Summary:
The Sr. Accountant I is a key member of the accounting team and will work closely with the Finance Management Team on various functions and responsibilities. Responsibilities include performing a variety of accounting functions. This may include driving the completion of month-end close process, maintaining the general ledger and accounting reconciliation software, preparing balance sheet reconciliations, assisting with preparation of financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and assisting with regulatory weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual filings with regulatory bodies. A successful Sr. Accountant I will be detail-oriented, team-focused, willing to collaborate across disciplines, receptive to feedback, strong analytical skills, and a champion of change.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Preparation and review of daily, weekly, monthly balance sheet reconciliations for certain general ledger accounts and drive completion of month end with preparation entire company monthly consolidation packets.
- Provide support for the preparation of monthly Credit Risk analysis over the many different areas of the loan portfolio and allowance for credit losses.
- The lead for general ledger maintenance to ERP system and accounting reconciliation system.
- Responsible for preparation of regulatory reporting schedules and SEC footnotes.
