Job Summary:
The Radiology Technologist III will utilize training, assessment, and technical skills to accomplish their duties in both Interventional Labs and the Electrophysiology setting. The Interventional Technologist must be able to produce and evaluate data, information, and images used by the physician to render a medical diagnosis or perform an interventional procedure. This position also requires the ability to scrub and assist in the performance of diagnostic, interventional, and therapeutic procedures. The position requires the use of hemodynamic monitoring equipment and constant evaluation of the patient’s hemodynamic status and vital signs.
The Interventional Technologist will also be required to consistently evaluate and advocate for the patient during the procedure. Work is done with considerable independence. Accurate record-keeping and attention to detail is essential. The Interventional Technologist must acquire and maintain specialized technical skills and medical knowledge to provide quality patient care to patients of all ages.
Job Requirements: (education and experience/preferred and required)
Associate degree required.
State of Maine license required.
Graduate of AMA-approved school of radiology.
National registration with ARRT.
Responsible, supportive team player.
Ability to work well in high-stress situations.
