Role: HR Coordinator
Location: Scarborough, ME - 04074
Duration: 6 Months on W2
Timings: 8 am to 5 PM
Responsibilities
Oversees processing for new hires, liaising with payroll and the HR Operations team; ensures accuracy and timeliness
Answers frequently asked questions from employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
Observes federally mandated legal and corporate ethical practices for safeguarding teammates confidentiality; alerts senior-level HR when something is amiss.
Assist with time clock system and work with payroll department.
Prepare new hire orientation and onboarding paperwork.
Assist with various projects and research.
Conducts or assists with new hire orientation.
Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.
Perform basic clerical functions such as filing, copying, faxing, and scanning
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS | EDUCATION:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or equivalent combination of experience and education
Minimum of 1-year experience in a Human Resources related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related technical field
Human Resources Certification (PHR/SHRM-CP)
Competencies
General knowledge of MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and projects
Ability to communicate effectively to a diverse population both orally and in writing.
