Role: HR Coordinator
Location: Scarborough, ME - 04074
Duration: 6 Months on W2
Responsibilities
- Overseas processing for new hires, liaising with payroll and the HR Operations team; ensures accuracy and timeliness
- Answers frequently asked questions from employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
- Observes federally mandated legal and corporate ethical practices for safeguarding teammates confidentiality; alerts senior-level HR when something is amiss.
- Assist with the timeclock system and work with the payroll department.
- Prepare new hire orientation and onboarding paperwork.
- Assist with various projects and research.
- Conducts or assists with new hire orientation.
- Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.
- Perform basic clerical functions such as filing, copying, faxing, and scanning
Basic Qualifications | Education:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or equivalent combination of experience and education
Minimum of 1 year experience in a Human Resources related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related technical field
Human Resources Certification (PHR/SHRM-CP)
Competencies
General knowledge of MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and projects
Ability to communicate effectively to a diverse population both orally and in writing
