We are looking for an enthusiastic, talented, and detail-oriented person to round out our team of human resource professionals. This position provides professional level human resource support for the Maine Department of Corrections to include adult and juvenile facilities, community corrections and the finance and human resources service center.
The primary focus of this position is overseeing, coordinating, and managing centralized human resources activities for the Department of Corrections. These include recruitment efforts, processing Family and Medical Leave requests, as well as position management for the Department. This position shares an office and responsibilities with another Human Resources Generalist. As a team, you will ensure that the Department remains in compliance with laws, rules and regulations, all while providing exceptional service to both internal and external customers.

Minimum qualifications:
To qualify, you must have demonstrated education, training, and/or experience in human resources or a related field.
Preference will be given to those applicants:
Preference will be given to applicants possessing knowledge or experience working with recruiting across multiple disciplines and levels of positions, Family and Medical Leave, data analytics and the ability to interpret rules and regulations, and State and Federal laws.
