Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client’s medical facility based in Machias, Maine. This is a contract opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!
Responsibilities:
- Greets and prepares patients for office visits or outpatient procedures, ensuring they are comfortable and informed about the upcoming process.
- Accurately measures and records vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, and weight, while updating the patient's problem list and medication history at each visit.
- Assists the medical provider with various procedures, including minor surgeries, wound care, and injections, and performs phlebotomy when required.
- Regularly reviews patient charts for completeness, ensuring all documentation is accurate and compliant with regulatory standards.
- Prepares and updates electronic health records with all relevant patient information, including lab results and referral notes, prior to the patient's appointment.
Required Qualifications:
- High School graduate, GED or equivalent
- Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
- Basic Life Support (AHA) certification

- Pay Range: $ 29.00 to 31.00/hour. $1,160.00 to 1,265.00/ week
