Upwork has partnered with an Enterprise client that simplifies Expense Management. Their AI-based automation and mobile-first product approach eliminate manual, time-consuming expense submissions, approvals, and reconciliations.

They are seeking a skilled Benefits and Payroll Specialist to assist with the upcoming Open Enrollment period and associated vendor transitions. This project involves several critical activities, including switching vendors, testing systems, and supporting employees during this busy period.

Job Description

For this project, the selected candidate will:

Assist in transitioning dental insurance from Delta Dental to Metlife, including system testing and troubleshooting.
Collaborate with the payroll team to ensure smooth setup and integration of the new 401(k) provider, working with either Standard or Fidelity.
Audit payroll systems to ensure ineligible earning codes are excluded.
Support the migration of payroll data from multiple company codes to a unified system within ADP, in preparation for a January 1st transition.
Provide assistance as needed with the sunset of the Canadian payroll system and the transition to a new platform.
Address employee questions related to benefits and payroll during Open Enrollment, particularly during peak times.

Qualifications

Ideal candidates will have:

Extensive experience in Benefits and Payroll, particularly with Open Enrollment processes and vendor transitions.
Proficiency in ADP systems and strong familiarity with 401(k) plan changes.
Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to perform vLookups for data validation.
Experience with Google Business Suite for internal communication and collaboration.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage high volumes of employee inquiries.

Additional Information

Work Details:

40 hours per week.
Must be available to work during Eastern Time business hours.
This contract position is expected to last for 6 months.
