Are you looking for a role where you can be part of a team that values quality, safety, and community? Do you want to contribute to a company that prides in giving back while providing a supportive and welcoming workplace? At Allagash, we offer hands-on training, a collaborative environment, and the benefit of a unique 4-day work week.

We’re looking for a reliable Packaging Operator to join our team at Allagash Brewing Company in Portland, Maine. In this role, you’ll help operate our high-speed bottling, canning, and keg lines while ensuring our beer is packaged with care. A typical day includes loading and unloading materials, inspecting packaged beer for quality, keeping workspaces organized, and working alongside teammates to keep everything running smoothly. We’ll teach you how to safely operate a forklift, too.

Our packaging team takes great pride in their work and in supporting one another. This role is an active, hands-on role where you’ll be on your feet most of the day and lifting up to 60 pounds as needed. The hourly salary range for this position is $22-$28, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications. This is a full-time, Monday-Thursday position with four 10-hour shifts. Packaging Operators rotate between early and late shifts at different points during their employment, so flexibility is key. Experience working 9+ hour shifts in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

We’re proud to provide a livable wage along with a comprehensive benefits package including, 100% paid premiums for employee health, dental, life and disability benefits; generous paid time off; paid volunteer time; up to $5,250 annually for continuing education; access to a fitness center; and 401(k) with employer match up to 4%. We are on the bus line and offer free bus passes, or parking, as well as covered bike racks, changing rooms and showers.

At Allagash, safety is our top priority. We have strict protocols in place to protect our team from injury and health risks. We provide uniforms, steel-toe boots, and additional personal protective equipment such as eyewear and hearing protection to ensure a safe and comfortable work environment.

We value a diverse workforce and encourage applications from people of all backgrounds, including those from historically underrepresented communities in craft beer. This position is open to all qualified candidates.
