Serving Maine’s Midcoast communities of Bowdoin, Bowdoinham, Harpswell, and Topsham, MSAD 75 is home to over 2,350 students and more than 600 faculty and staff members.

MSAD 75 is seeking a PreK Paraprofessional at Harpswell Community School to join our vibrant educational community. Together, we can inspire the next generation of learners and leaders.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Instruct individual student under the indirect supervision of a teacher.
Support student inclusion in the classroom according to positive behavioral support plans.
Prepare instructional materials.
Review and reinforce learning previously introduced by classroom teacher or designee.
Supervise student during lunch and recess.

REQUIREMENTS:

Maine Department of Education Educational Technician I, II or III Authorization.
State of Maine Department of Education background check (CHRC) authorization.
Strong behavioral management skills with ability to consistently support student behavior plans.
Demonstrated record keeping skills.
Proven ability to function as a team member.
Must be physically capable of lifting up to 50+ lbs.

Bending/Twisting: 3-5 hours
Kneeling/Crouching/Crawling: 1-2 hours
Hands/Arms/Finger Dexterity/Hand Gripping: 6-8 hours
