Project Manager

Phoenix provides fabrication, repair, and mechanical installation of process piping, tanks, and distribution systems for the petroleum and chemical products industry, as well as high-purity piping systems and structural steelwork.

Main Functional Activities Include:

Phase and plan out a wide variety of project
Negotiate with customers and vendors to optimize profitability
Review budgets and evaluate how the budget will be allocated
Create ongoing project schedules
Responsible for managing superintendents and associated crews
Address customer expectations, changes in scope, and concerns that arise
Follows quotes through the sales process for new work and/or change orders associated with current jobs
Collaborates with scheduling to identify and appoint appropriate crew for each job
Signs off on purchases of materials, equipment, and subcontractors
Reviews and signs contracts
Responsible for tracking deadlines to ensure timley completion
Follows job profitability throughout the project
Collaborates on completed projects to perform closeout to see how it went and what can be improved moving forward

Mechanical and/or construction background
Project management experience
Proficient computer skills
Bachelor's degree (preferred)
Articulate written and verbal communication
Financially literate

Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical documents
Strong mathematical skills
Effective time management skills
Well organized
Motivated and positive attitude
Willing to lead and grow

Schedule:

· 8 Hour Shift

· Day Shift

· Monday – Friday (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM)

· Based at Headquarters in Portland, ME
