Part-Time Fine Gardening / Landscaping Position

Restful Roots LLC is hiring a part-time team member to join our fine gardening and landscaping crew 2 days per week (14–16 hours total).

Pay: $22–$27/hour depending on experience
Schedule: 2 days per week (flexible)
Season: April – November
Installation days: +$3/hour bonus pay

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors and has an interest in native plants, horticulture, or ecological landscaping. It's also a great fit for someone looking to balance their schedule with meaningful outdoor work during part of the week.

About Us

Restful Roots LLC is a small fine gardening and landscaping company that operates in the Greater Portland area. Our work is based around garden bed installation and maintenance with a strong focus on native plants, habitat restoration, and ecological landscaping.

We do not mow lawns. Our work focuses on creating and maintaining beautiful, healthy garden spaces. We take pride in high-quality work and thoughtful landscape design.

The Position

This role is hands-on and physically active. We’re looking for someone who enjoys working hard and being outdoors. Part-time employees receive priority consideration if full-time positions open in the future.

Typical tasks include:

-Weeding
-Mulching
-Planting
-Garden bed edging
-Watering
-Assisting with garden installations

Requirements

-Valid driver’s license
-Ability to perform physical outdoor work
-Reliability and a positive attitude
-Works well as part of a team or independently
-Interest in plants and gardening is encouraged (experience is a plus)
