Job Overview:

The Family Center of Maine, a leading provider of mental health counseling services, is seeking a dedicated Medical Receptionist to join our dynamic team. If you are passionate about supporting individuals, couples, and families in their mental health journey, this position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

Responsibilities:

- Manage front desk operations with professionalism and efficiency

- Verify client insurance coverage and discuss client responsibilities

- Welcome clients warmly, address their needs, and guide them to the appropriate resources

- Check-in and check-out clients accurately and in a timely manner

- Schedule and reschedule client appointments with attention to detail

- Coordinate clinician schedules effectively

- Handle incoming phone calls, redirect calls appropriately, manage voicemails, and provide exceptional customer service

- Assist with general administrative tasks as assigned by the Owner, Clinical Director, or Practice Manager

Skills:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interactions with clients and office staff

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite

- Experience with medical software

- Prior experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role is preferred

- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment

Schedule would be Mon-Fri 10AM-6PM, 8AM-4PM, 9AM-5PM depending on location and other workers schedules. We offer 2 weeks PTO, and you are paid for your break as well. Pay is weekly by direct deposit.
