Our busy legal firm is looking for an efficient, organized legal assistant to help our attorneys and paralegals assist our clients and ensure we’re operating efficiently. You’ll assist with the preparation of legal documents, and handle all office correspondence including answering phone calls and emails, arranging meetings, and reminding the team of upcoming deadlines. Compensation:

$21 - $25 hourly rate

Responsibilities:Draft legal documents and correspondence, including client case updates and closing letters, etc., under the supervision and guidance of a professional legal administrator and criminal attorney. Proofread documents as required.Follow all aspects of a case matter from start to finish.Work within the firm's established policies and procedures for processing clients communications, court paperwork and internal and external documents.Communicate on the phone with courts, agencies, vendors, current clients and potential clients.Draft and prepare Motions for the Attorneys and track the status through to updating the clients.Ensure client billing is processed properly using daily time records.Be willing to take on any other necessary administrative tasks to help the firm run smoothly, including but not limited to scanning, photocopying and filing.Qualifications:Minimum of 1-2 years previous experience working in a law firm or professional office environment performing administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments, and use of CRM softwareAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines with quick turnaround timesComfortable working with all Microsoft Office productsOrganizational skills and communication skills are necessary for this positionSome knowledge of legal software, case management, and docketing programsProficient in Mac computer OS, Apple Mail, Google SuiteAbility to work on a teamStrong customer service, listening, and problem-solving skillsCollege degree is preferred, but will accept significant legal work experienceAbout Company
