These roles support our shared mission of fostering sustainable agriculture, rural community resilience, and environmental stewardship.
Current Opportunities:
Smithereen Farm
- Farmstore Manager: Oversee retail operations, inventory, and sales planning for Smithereen Farm’s brick-and-mortar and online store.
- Farmstore Cashier: Provide exceptional customer service and assist with retail sales.
- Agritourism & Hospitality Manager: Coordinate events, manage visitor experiences, and promote agritourism initiatives.
- Caretaker / Restoration Handyman: Assist with historic preservation and infrastructure maintenance.
Greenhorns
- Producer/Editor/Project Manager: Support media projects promoting regenerative farming and local food systems.
- 2025 'Civic Halls' Intern: Support Maine’s historic civic halls through preservation and community programming.
- 'Seaweed Commons' Part Time Coordinator: Engage in community support and advocacy for sustainable seaweed ecology and economy.
