Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in servicing and repairing diesel engines and related systems. This role involves diagnosing mechanical issues, performing repairs, and ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and safely. The Diesel Mechanic will work with a variety of heavy-duty vehicles and equipment, contributing to the overall maintenance and reliability of our fleet.
Duties
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, including troubleshooting electrical systems.
- Perform routine maintenance on heavy equipment, including brake repair, suspension work, and shock strut replacements.
- Fabricate parts as needed to ensure optimal performance of vehicles and machinery.
- Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment safely while performing repairs or maintenance tasks.
- Conduct inspections to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed on each vehicle or piece of equipment.
- Collaborate with other mechanics and technicians to ensure timely completion of all service requests.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role in the automotive or heavy equipment industry.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engine components, systems, and repair techniques.
- Experience operating heavy equipment is preferred.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing issues accurately.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 55 per week
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed
