About Us: Pondicherry House is an owner-operated wood-fired kitchen and bar located in downtown Bridgton, Maine. We pride ourselves on offering a cozy atmosphere, exceptional service, and a menu that showcases fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to grow our culinary team. You will be working in an open kitchen in a 36 seat restaurant including a four seat chef’s counter centered around a wood-fired oven. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, a strong work ethic, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
- Assist with the cleaning and organization of kitchen and equipment.
- Manage and maintain inventory levels appropriately
Qualifications:
- Proven cooking experience as a Line Cook; Wood-Fired Oven experience a plus
- Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively
- Strong attention to detail and creativity
