Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, with a strong focus on safety and efficiency. This role involves operating various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers, box trucks and refrigerated trailers, to transport goods to designated locations. The Truck Driver will be responsible for ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
Duties
- Operate and drive various types of trucks, including manual transmission vehicles, refrigerated trailers, tractor trailers and box trucks.
- Load and unload freight safely and efficiently at various locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, routes taken, and hours worked.
- Follow designated routes for delivery while being adaptable to changes as needed.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to commercial driving.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Truck Driver with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL).
- Familiarity with operating manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
- Experience in driving refrigerated trailers.
- Background in delivery driver roles or freight transportation is advantageous.
- Knowledge of forklift operation is beneficial for loading and unloading tasks.
- Strong understanding of route driving logistics and ability to navigate effectively using maps or GPS systems.
