We are seeking a passionate Life Enrichment Coordinator to bring joy, engagement, and meaningful experiences to the lives of our residents. If you’re passionate about working with seniors and love planning programs that inspire and uplift, we want to meet you!
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and lead resident-centered cultural, educational, and social programs
- Drive residents to community events, outings, and activities using the company van
- Encourage and support resident independence through creative programming
- Collaborate with staff and volunteers to deliver a diverse calendar of events
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with residents, families, and staff
- Maintain records, assist with budgeting, and support interdepartmental coordination
- Design engaging printed and digital content for in-house TV channel and bulletin boards
- Create welcoming seasonal décor and coordinate room use for events
- Foster intergenerational relationships with volunteers and students/interns
- Support both scheduled and spontaneous resident-led activities
- Participate in IDT meetings and uphold privacy and HIPAA standards
- Lead efforts to recognize resident milestones and achievements
Knowledge, skills and Ability requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 2–3 years of experience working with seniors, including those with cognitive limitations
- Valid Maine driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- Comfortable standing, sitting, lifting up to 25 lbs, and working both indoors and outdoors
- Ability to mobilize occupied bariatric wheelchairs and assist with loading/unloading
- Activity Professional Certification (APC) preferred or willingness to obtain
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Touchtown a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.50 - $25.50 per hour
