Resident Monitor (Overnight Shift)
Pharos House is a non-profit residential halfway house in the heart of the Parkside neighborhood in Portland. Our mission is to assist men and women from the Federal Bureau of Prisons and US Probation to successfully and safely reintegrate back into the community.
We are currently looking for a part-time Resident Monitor to join our dedicated and dynamic team. Resident Monitors are the cornerstone of our operation and help us provide oversight and accountability for all our residents. The Resident Monitor will provide direct care support for program residents and to support the program goal of successful reentry for the residents. Accomplishments of this position include accurate resident tracking and accountability, as well as ensuring that facility health and safety are maintained, and pro-social role modeling is demonstrated for residents.
The ideal candidate will be flexible, a team-player and wanting to help justice-involved people improve their quality of life while maintaining safe and secure practices. Previous educational or work experience in criminal justice, behavioral health, social work, criminal justice or residential setting is desirable, but not required. A variety of trainings are also provided.
Pharos House conducts background checks on all new employees and does not hire or promote anyone who has been convicted of engaging in any inappropriate sexual activity in a jail, lockup, community confinement facility, juvenile facility or in the community. This applies to individuals who have been civilly or administratively engaged in any type of sexual abuse or sexual harassment.
