Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, safety, and upkeep of our church facility. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming in designated areas.
- Maintain floors through proper care techniques such as buffing and waxing.
- Conduct janitorial duties in both commercial and residential settings, ensuring high standards of cleanliness are met.
- Perofrm cleaning tasks as required, including the use of specialized equipment.
- Carry out facilities maintenance tasks to ensure the upkeep of the building's infrastructure.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
- Provide porter services as needed, including moving furniture or supplies within the facility.
Qualifications
- Previous custodial or janitorial experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment operation is a plus.
- Experience in cleaning environments is advantageous.
- Knowledge of residential painting and maintenance tasks is desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions effectively.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing time efficiently.

Pay: $21.11 - $25.42 per hour
