Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic General Manager to lead our restaurant operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, knowledge of food service management, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. We need an someone who knows how to be an engaged operator; we don't need someone who wants to sit at a desk. This role requires overseeing daily functions, managing staff, ensuring food safety standards, and driving overall business success in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in hospitality management is welcome, but we are seeking someone who is motivated and can provide consistency for our team.
Nights and weekend availability required. This role is salaried with a 40hr a week expectation. Performance based incentive pay available.
Primary Responsibilities:
-Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations including food preparation, service quality, and customer satisfaction
-Manage staff recruitment, training, and development to maintain high-performance teams
-Supervise front-of-house teams to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to safety standards
-Ensure consistent delivery of excellent customer service to foster repeat business
-Manage inventory control to minimize waste and optimize stock levels
-Schedule staff and coordinate time off requests and coverage;
-Manage and update the menu periodically
-Works with staff to design, collect, and publish cocktails and cafe specials
-Manges and holds staff accountable to operational checklists (opening/closing) to ensure a clean and safe work environment
-Communicate with and oversee vendors
-Works with Social Media and Marketing Manager to promote specials and menu changes
-Works with Event Manager to support event programing
-Ensure training materials, procedures, and documentation stay updated to support operations
-Must be able to consistently and safely lift and carry 60lbs (one full sixtel keg)
Experience:
-Demonstrated leadership in supervising teams within hospitality or restaurant environments
-Background or familiarity with food industry operations in one or more of the following areas
--Food preparation
--Kitchen management
--Bar Management
--Café Management
-Demonstrated leadership in supervising teams within hospitality or restaurant environments
-TIPS or Responsible Beverage Server Certification (or get certified within 30 days of hire)
-ServSafe Certified Food Protection Manager (or get certified within 30 days of hire)
-Experience in fine dining food service is a plus but not mandatory
-Excellent communication skills with the ability to interview, train, develop staff, and manage multiple priorities effectively
