Delivery Driver/Furniture Handler
Basic Function: Receive, unload, load, warehouse, deliver, set up, and transfer inventory to and from the warehouses to showrooms.

Requirements: Current, valid Maine drivers license. A cordial and friendly demeanor which makes customers happy. Preferred customer service and delivery experience.
Ability to consistently lift heavy items (over 75 lbs) over extended periods of time.
Ability to use basic tools such as hand tools or electric tools to assemble and disassemble furniture.
Tasks & Duties:
1. Provide the best possible level of customer service, respect and follow-up at all times.
2. Deliver items according to the prescribed schedule.
3. Be a team player by helping other delivery teams and retail sales associates with loading and the transfer of furniture and mattresses.
4. Continually strive to improve your personal skills.
5. Complete all required documentation accurately, completely and on a timely basis.
6. Utilize in house software to start and complete deliveries.
7. Unload incoming merchandise, reconciling the bill of lading with the original purchase order.
8. Identify damaged incoming merchandise and report it to the Office Manager immediately, in writing.
9. Report merchandise damages discovered during delivery to the Office Manager through DispatchTrack.
10. Warehouse all merchandise in a planned, organized and clean manner as directed by the Sales & Operations Manager.
11. Deliver “bring in” (In-store transfers) requests to the stores on a timely basis.
12. Adhere strictly to the delivery guidelines/procedures established by the Sales & Operations Manager.
13. Complete loading merchandise at the end of each day for the next day’s deliveries.
14. Accurately and completely utilize DispatchTrack software for ALL DELIVERIES.
15. Immediately report delivery conflicts or unrealistic commitments to the Office Manager.
16. Assist in full physical inventories and cycle counts.
17. Adhere strictly to the timecard/clock policy.
18. Any and all other tasks, as assigned by your supervisor.
