Ramona’s draws inspiration from our East Coast roots, with menus that celebrate Philly-inspired Italian comfort food. About the Role
The Line Cook at Ramona’s is responsible for preparing and cooking menu items to our quality standards under the direction of the Kitchen Manager and Lead Cook. In our compact, high-energy kitchen, this role helps keep service efficient, consistent, and smooth. Line Cooks play a direct role in delivering great food and creating a positive customer experience every day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients and assemble menu items according to Ramona’s recipes and standards
- Cook and build sandwiches, breakfast items, and specials consistently and efficiently, with attention to quality and timing
- Follow directions from the Lead Cook and Kitchen Manager during prep and service
- Maintain a clean, organized workstation and support overall kitchen cleanliness
- Prep, portion, and store ingredients properly, following correct rotation to minimize waste
- Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
- Assist with opening and closing tasks, including setup, restocking, and cleaning
- Communicate clearly with the Lead Cook, Kitchen Manager, and teammates to keep service running smoothly
- Support fellow kitchen staff during busy moments and help troubleshoot issues as they arise
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented kitchen culture
- Assist with basic inventory tasks such as stock rotation and reporting low or missing items
Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of experience in a high-volume kitchen or full-service restaurant
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and kitchen equipment
- Ability to work efficiently while maintaining quality in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation standards
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by restaurant operations
