Supervisor, Warehouse
This position is a significant support role for the organization. With minimal supervision, and being self-directed, this individual will manage the day-to-day activities of the primary Bio-Medical Warehouse. Working with the current team, this role is highly impactful to the smooth operation of the organization. The primary focus will be on the timely and efficient flow of materials.
What you contribute:
- Lead, direct and supervise the day-to-day activities of the department with multiple direct reports.
- The departments success is dependent upon managing both time and talent well.
- Safe handling, packaging, and shipping of multiple Bio-Medical samples (both Domestic and International shipments).
- Observing the receiving of numerous deliveries.
- Operating an important internal retail business which includes inventory and ordering from a database of hundreds of SKU's.
- Delivering all on-campus parcels and packages.
- Safely storing and handling of multiple hazardous materials.
- Managing a monthly P&L, with seasonal budgeting and capital planning responsibilities.
- Functions as the FedEx Administrator for the organization
What you are good at:
- Demonstrated success supervising, leading, directing and training employees. To include staff development, organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.
- Excellent customer service skills, demonstrated by the ability to successfully interact with a large number of internal and external clients.
- Highly proficient computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook.
- The ability ability to master the use web-based programs (Lawson, FedEx, etc.).
- Teach, train and lead others in the safe use of equipment, SOP's and policies.
- Internal candidates need to have held the position of; Receiving/Inventory Clerk III and held the position for a minimum of 1 year.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s Degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience required; 5 years preferred.
- Supervisory Experience: At least 2 years required; 5 years preferred.
- Certifications: DOT and IATA Certification for shipping hazardous materials, and designation as FedEx Administrator.
Pay Range: $60,618 - $87,896
