Duties
- Safely operate a box truck to complete delivery routes.
- Load and unload goods using equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual lifting techniques, ensuring proper handling and safety.
- Plan efficient delivery routes to maximize productivity and meet scheduled delivery times.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging professionally with clients during deliveries.
- Verify shipment contents against delivery paperwork, ensuring accuracy before departure.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine inspections to ensure safety standards are met.
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies to ensure safe driving practices at all times.
Experience
- Prior experience as a delivery driver or courier is highly preferred, especially with route driving responsibilities.
- Warehouse experience is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with loading/unloading procedures and equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks.
- Valid Maine driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Experience operating box trucks is desirable.
- Physical ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs) occasionally and perform moving tasks efficiently.
