James F. Mullen, a NSD Metal Company, is seeking a self-driven and motivated Inspector to join our growing team. The successful candidate must be flexible, able to collaborate across multiple teams, communicate well, and be organized. The role’s main responsibilities include product inspections and reporting any discrepancies or deficiencies. The ideal candidate will have worked within precision metal fabrication and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:
• Perform mechanical, dimensional & visual inspections for Final & In-Process Inspections.
• Create final inspection reports.
• Use of micrometer, vernier/dial calipers & height gage.
• Disposition products/parts that do not meet production standards.
• Prepare documentation of the inspection process.
Experience level:
• Work experience in quality inspection, manufacturing or machine shop environment.
Education & Experience:
• High School diploma, GED or course certifications.
• Real-time experience with metal fabrication preferred.
• Read drawings, specifications to meet production standards.
• Experience with GD&T, ASM Y144, and CMM is a preferred.
• Knowledge of quality control standards & 3D scanning tools preferred.
