A Morning in Maine Sailing Tours is seeking Winter Boat Maintenance Crew. As we prepare for our summer sailing season, we are looking for help to scrape, sand, and paint the bottom and topsides. Morning in Maine is a 55’ LOA custom built Pete Culler designed wooden ketch. We are a locally owned and operated business in Rockland, Maine. The boatshop is located near downtown Rockland.
While focused on sanding and painting, there is other maintenance work to be done pending applicants’ interest and experience. Winter maintenance crew may have the opportunity to become deckhands during the sailing season pending interest and experience.
Qualifications:
Required:
-Trainable: happy to learn and balance speed vs quality priorities
-Collaborative: willing to collaborate with and around other crew working on separate concurrent projects
Preferred:
-Experience sanding, painting wooden boats
-Someone interested in staying on as summer sailing crew
Compensation:
Winter Maintenance Crew - $20-$26 DOE
