Caribou Community School is seeking a caring, dedicated, and enthusiastic
Grade 2 Teacher to join our team for the 2026-2027 school year. The successful candidate will be committed to supporting students academically, socially, and emotionally while creating a positive and engaging classroom environment.

Position Summary
The Grade 2 Teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction aligned with Maine Learning Results, supporting the academic growth of all learners, and collaborating with colleagues to meet the needs of students.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging instruction aligned with district curriculum and Maine Learning Results
- Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student growth and independence
- Use a variety of instructional strategies and assessments to support diverse learners
- Monitor and communicate student progress with families and school staff
- Collaborate with colleagues, specialists, and administration to support student success
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and school initiatives
- Maintain accurate student records and documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
- Current Maine DOE certification or eligibility
- Experience working with elementary students preferred
- Strong classroom management and instructional skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to creating a positive and supportive learning environment
