The Communications Coordinator plays a key role in executing REVERB’s communications across digital platforms, campaigns, and partnerships. This role is responsible for creating content and visual assets, managing day-to-day publishing, and helping bring campaigns to life.
This is a hands-on role for a creative and highly organized communicator with 2–3 years of experience who is confident in both content creation and design. The Coordinator will work closely with the Director of Communications to translate strategy into clear, engaging, and visually compelling outputs.
This role is based in or near Portland, Maine and includes opportunities to attend shows, festivals, and events to support activations and capture on-site content.
Key Responsibilities:Content Creation
Create and develop content across social media, newsletters, website pages, reports, and partner communications, reaching key audiences including artists, management teams, and the broader music industry.
Take first pass on copywriting, with direction and feedback from the Director
Adapt messaging for different audiences and platforms
Design & Visual Content
Create visual assets for social media, campaigns, reports, and digital communications (Canva/Adobe tools)
Develop first drafts of creative assets based on campaign direction
Maintain visual consistency with REVERB’s brand
Social Media Management
Draft and schedule social media content across platforms with the goal of transition to leading content creation and posting, highlighting content focusing on REVERB’s work, campaigns, artist and action partners, and current environmental, climate, social, and intersectional issues.
Manage publishing workflows
Monitor performance and identify opportunities to improve engagement
Website & Email
Build and update website pages in WordPress
Create and execute email campaigns in Mailchimp
Support integrations between platforms, including Jotform to Mailchimp workflows
Campaign & Event Support
Support campaign execution across tours, festivals, and digital initiatives, developing communication materials for REVERB events, including promotional campaigns, press kits, and on-site signage or digital assets.
Attend select shows, activations, and events to support programming and capture content
Create on-site content (photo, video, social) as needed
Asset & Workflow Management
Organize and maintain photo, video, and design assets
Video capture and editing
Ensure projects are delivered on time and meet quality standards
Collaborate with internal teams to gather content and information
Qualifications & ExperienceCollege degree in a communications-related area of study is preferred
2–3 years of experience in communications, content creation, or digital marketing
Videography, photography and editing
Experience creating visual content (Canva and/or Adobe tools)
Familiarity with social media platforms and content best practices
Experience with WordPress, Mailchimp, Jotform, or similar tools
Strong writing and editing skills
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Creative thinker with a proactive mindset
Positive, confident communicator who is open to feedback and collaboration
Ability and willingness to attend events and capture content on-site
