Summary:
The coordinator will join a dynamic, creative, collaborative 5-person Development team. The coordinator will oversee the gift acknowledgment process, participate in the implementation of donor cultivation and stewardship efforts in support of the annual fund, and assist with events, grants, and in other department activities as needed. The successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, will be well organized, and have the ability to work both independently and within a team.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Development Operations (30%)
Manage various development operations functions within the department’s CRM such as mailing list creation, monthly department reporting, and database administration.
Help implement stewardship plans for various target donor segments such as new donors, lapsed donors, recurring donors, etc.
Draft a monthly schedule of grant deliverables and coordinate with the Institutional Giving Officer to properly record activities in the database.
Donor Relations (40%)
Event Coordination (20%)
Other duties or special projects as assigned (10%)
Qualifications:
Enthusiasm to work in a dynamic environment and interact with a diverse group of people helping engage them in the mission
Ability to accurately and efficiently capture, input, and update information electronically.
Organized, attentive to detail, and able to balance multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
Highly professional with demonstrated customer service excellence in both written and verbal communications
Past fundraising, database management or event planning experience is a plus
Requirements:
Proficient in the Google suite of products and ability to learn new software skills as needed to complete job responsibilities.
Reliable transportation and ability to attend community based events (within 30 minutes of the Brunswick office).
Satisfactory background check results. Please note: not all findings are disqualifying for all positions.
Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
